Fun and Fitness will be our home education equivalent of PE at school but a lot of more flexible and with a lot more options of activities.
At school, the choices of a sport are understandably restricted due to a lot of pupils.
PE at school is like “Marmite” to a lot of children, you either love it or hate it.
It is a huge bonus for kids being home educated to follow the sporting activities that they like or would like to try.
A lot of towns and villages will have extracurricular team sports available such as football, cricket, rugby etc, this will also benefit from educated children and enable them to participate in team sports.
Because we do not intend to follow timetables as part of our home educating, there is no time limit on the activities we decide to pursue. For example, if we are hiking or golfing or swimming and having fun, there is no restriction on when we finish.
Being able to explore all types of sports and activities will surely be an enriching experience in the short and long-term.
