Unschooling is an informal way of learning based on the child’s interests and passions as the main form of learning. The term unschooling is often misunderstood, as people tend to think is a lazy way to home educate in the sense that children are left to their own devices when it comes to learning.
In reality unschooling can be hard work in the sense that lots of research and effort is required from both parent and child as most of the learning is not “Off the shelf,” such as national curriculum subjects.
Having the freedom to unschool and explore all avenues of your own education can certainly lead to children becoming independent and well versed in self study education.
